TRAINING COURSE: CREATING IMPACT BY KNOWLEDGE TRANSFER FOR THE RESEARCH COMMUNITY
Brought to you by the Europe Commission’s flagship knowledge transfer project, Horizon 2020 funded COLUMBUS is offering a free training course as a side event to the 3rd COLUMBUS International Blue Society Knowledge Transfer Conference, “Making Marine and Maritime Research Count”. The Training Course entitled “Creating Impact by Knowledge Transfer for the Research Community” will take place on Tuesday 23 January 2018 (1pm-6pm) at the Crowne Plaza Hotel – Le Palace in Brussels, Belgium.
For over ten years, the European Commission has been highlighting the importance of achieving impact from research, in terms of environmental, economic or social development. COLUMBUS has responded by developing a tried and tested Knowledge Transfer methodology that can increase the potential of impact from funded research. COLUMBUS has gained important insights and experiences from this process which could inform better design of proposals and project implementation so they are more efficiently oriented towards impact from the start.
Training will include:
- An introduction to the robust and validated COLUMBUS Knowledge Transfer Methodology
- Case studies of successful Knowledge Transfer
- Considerations on how to improve knowledge management processes
